Around 2000 a man named John Cramer
started building this house. He and his
giant draft horses cut and milled all the
wood and built the shell of this timber frame house. All
the posts and beams in the house were
hand milled by Cramer out in the yard. The
imperfections of the posts and beams show
the history of the trees they come from.
Unfortunately, he was over 70 when he
started building the house so he did not
live to see its completion. In 2022 I was
looking to start a new life so when I came
across this house I decided I needed to
finish it. Along with my partners Joe Ayers
and Kenny Kent we began the long process
of making this house livable. We tried as
much as possible to stick with Cramers
original plans which included 2 kitchens
and a library. There have been a few other
helpers along they way to help complete
my dream and I am very thankful for all
they have helped with. List includes Jacob,
Sammy, and Gary. This project could not
have been completed without their
dedication and efforts.
